Notary Public

The Office of the Stanly County Register of Deeds issues Notary oaths between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This office also has a variety of forms for use by the Notary Public including Initial Application Form, Re-Appointment Form, Change of Address/Change of Name Form, and Notary Public Compliant Form.

Once you have been appointed or re-appointed as a Notary Public you will receive a green transmittal letter from the Secretary of State. Prior to performing your duties of office, you must take your oath of office at the Register of Deeds office of your County of residence. If a non-resident of the State of North Carolina, you must take your oath of office in the Register of Deeds in the County in which you work.

The Fee for the Oath of office is $10.00.
